1L Bottle for Home Use in Kathmandu: A Simple Guide

Learn when a 1L bottle for home use in Kathmandu makes sense alongside a 20L jar, how to store it, and what to check before you buy.

Many homes rely on a 20L jar, but a 1L bottle for home use in Kathmandu fills gaps a jar cannot. This guide covers when it helps, how to store it and what to check before you buy.

When a 1L Bottle for Home Use in Kathmandu Makes Sense

A 1L bottle is small, sealed and easy to carry. It works well:

  • For guests who drop by for a short visit
  • In packed lunches, on study desks or on a bedside table
  • In a rented room or a home without a jar dispenser

Purna Label bottles carry Purna's own branding on both the front and back labels, and come in 250ml, 500ml and 1000ml sizes.

Using 1L Bottles and a 20L Jar Together

The two sizes are not competing choices. Many homes use both.

  • 20L jar: covers daily drinking and cooking water in the kitchen.
  • 1L bottles: add convenience for guests, other rooms and quick top-ups.

The Purna 20L jar comes with the Purna Label only; there is no private-label version of the jar.

A Purna 20L jar costs Rs 125 per jar.

The minimum order for Purna 20L jars is 4-5 jars per order.

Each Purna 20L jar needs a refundable deposit of Rs 600.

The Rs 600 jar deposit is refundable when you stop the service: Purna collects the jars, quality control inspects them, and if there is no damage the full deposit is refunded.

Storing an Opened 1L Bottle Safely

  • Keep the bottle capped between uses.
  • Store it away from direct sunlight and heat, such as a hot windowsill or a kitchen counter near the stove.
  • Avoid letting the bottle opening touch shared cups or hands.
  • Finish an opened bottle soon rather than keeping it for many days.

What to Check Before Buying a 1L Bottle

  • Seal: the cap seal should be intact before you open it.
  • Label: it should be readable and show manufacturer details.
  • Dates: look for date information printed on the bottle.

Ask our team on WhatsApp for current certification and registration details shown on the label.
