Going to Watch NPL at Kirtipur? Water Tips for Fans
Going to watch NPL at Kirtipur? Get simple water and hydration tips for a long match day in the stands, from planning to staying comfortable.
If you plan to watch NPL at Kirtipur this season, you are in for a long, loud and exciting day. Between queues, the build-up and a full T20 match, fans can spend most of the afternoon in the stands. A little planning around drinking water makes the day far more comfortable.
All Nepal Premier League 2026 matches are played at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, and the final is on 21 November (source).
Before you leave home
- Drink a glass of water before you set off. Starting the day hydrated is easier than catching up later.
- Check the ground's entry rules. Ask the organisers what you can bring in, as rules on bottles and bags can change from match to match.
- Eat a proper meal. Long days on an empty stomach plus sun and shouting wear you out fast.
When you watch NPL at Kirtipur
- Sip regularly, not all at once. Small, regular sips through the match are easier on the body than drinking a lot in one go.
- Watch the sun. Afternoon sun in open stands feels stronger than you expect. A cap and sunglasses help.
- Rain is possible too. Some NPL 2026 matches were affected by rain, so carry a light rain jacket (source).
- Look after children and older family members. Remind them to drink water during breaks in play.
Signs you need a break
Feeling unusually tired, dizzy or getting a headache can be signs you need water, shade or a rest. Step out of the sun, drink some water and sit down. If someone feels unwell, ask the ground staff or medical team for help.
After the match
The ride home through Kirtipur and Kathmandu traffic can be slow. Drink some water before you leave the ground and again when you reach home.
Keep water ready at home for match days
If your family is watching every match on TV, keep drinking water topped up at home too.
